April Gehman

April Gehman is a recruit for Class 5 and a 20 yr. old high school graduate. Taking Christ to the hard and dark places where the rest of the world shrinks back from is something that sets her heart ablaze. Her deep love for Jesus is what compels her to action and obedience to follow His voice whatever the costs and wherever it may lead. She believes that joining Class 5 is what God is presently calling her to train her in faith, discipline, and readiness for the work ahead. Having lived in Colombia as a missionary kid, her heart grew to love the desolate and the broken, seeing beyond filth, mud, tears and pain to the person’s heart. Firsthand, she discovered what it meant to follow Christ into Red Zones of nations where others feared to tread, including the locals. Experiencing different cultures, learning other languages, doing artistic projects, and riding motorcycles are some things that she enjoys. Her endeavor is to be the hands and feet of Christ, by lifting up the fallen, returning dignity to the victim, caring for the wounded, and defending the weak  through medical aid, humanitarian aid, and rescue skills.
